DAY 2 
Morning
On Cookeville's downtown square you'll find marvelous specialty stores like The
Market, a boutique gallery, and the Market Antiques just above. Right around
the corner, break for a latte at Poet's on the Square Coffeehouse. Feeling
wild? Take a walk on the West Side and discover the world of Moonstruck truffles
at Cocoa Ladies chocolate boutique, explore a selection of Fair Trade Certified
gifts at A Rare Find, meander through Broadway Boutique Mall's boutique gallery,
plus look for name brand merchandise of Pottery Barn, Bombay and William Sonoma
just to name a few. Stroll down East Broad Street and begin your hunt for hidden
treasure at one of its many antique shops and bookstores located on the West
Side and Historic Downtown. After you shop till you drop, take a break for
lunch at one our fabulous local restaurants.
Afternoon
While you're here, don't miss a chance to explore history at its best. See history come alive at Cookeville's History Museum....Hop aboard an authentic Tennessee Central Railway caboose at the Cookeville Depot Museum. Built in 1909, the museum's permanent collection includes photographs, artifacts, and related memorabilia associated with the railroad and local history. The Depot is now on the National Register of Historic Places. Other historic places to visit include the Arcade Building with its beautiful stained glass panels on the ceiling of what was the first enclosed shopping mall of its kind in Cookeville, the Residential District on North Dixie Avenue with over 40 historic structures that date back to the early 1900s and Henderson Hall on the campus of Tennessee Tech University which is also on the National Register of Historic Places.
